When I first started blogging several years ago, I consistently utilized a specific traffic strategy, one that was both easy and reliable. It performed beautifully every single time, on the dozens of blogs I created.
It was Pinterest!
It worked like a charm every time – that is, until Pinterest went public in 2019.
In the time leading up to then, it had become increasingly difficult to land 10,000-plus monthly page views from the start, using Pinterest alone. Things were shifting, and I began to realize that SEO was going to be something I would finally have to make a financial investment in.
While Pinterest and other social media platforms are still effective for growing your traffic, it now takes a lot longer – many times including using paid ads on social media – to get the reach that you’re really after.
SEO is a long-game approach that is not only sustainable but will drive the best quality traffic you can get to your website.
In this article, I’m going to talk about SEO and review the course Stupid Simple SEO. You’ll learn about SEO, find out more about what’s in that course, and get my recommendation on whether or not you should take the course.
Let’s get started.

What is SEO?
SEO, or search engine optimization, is what gets your content found on Google.
There are many tactics and strategies involved in having your content found on Google. It’s much more than just writing a blog post about a topic and hoping it lands on the first page of Google.
Why is SEO important?
Why should you care about SEO? Well, if you’re a content creator or you have a website, then you already know how difficult it can be to get organic traffic.
The internet is huge, and your website takes up just a tiny piece of it. Social media can get you only so far before you have to open your wallet and invest in ads. The only foolproof way to really get true, organic traffic is through SEO.
When you have good, on-page SEO and off-page SEO in place, you will feel like the internet “turns on” the traffic to your site. SEO is a powerful tool that, if used correctly, will drive traffic to your site, on autopilot.
The truth is, landing on the first page of Google is really difficult, and there are specific things that you need to do. It takes work, and so a lot of people just give up.
How long does SEO take?
After you start executing your strategy for SEO, expect two or three months to go by before it takes effect; it may take upward of six months to see your content land on page one of Google.
A lot of people shy away from SEO because of this, but it shouldn’t be a deterrent to you.
It’s no secret that SEO is the long game.
Is it worth it?
Most things in life that you work and wait for are. Put it into practice today and be rewarded with rankings on Google in the future. It’s kind of like passive traffic.
Do you know how passive income works?
To begin, you first set up a foundation for earning passive income. If you put in the initial effort to put it in place, you can enjoy income without work in the future.
Traffic can be the same way.
You set an action place into play to bring you traffic, then wait for it to kick in and continuously stream into your website in the future, with little to no active work necessary to keep it going.
That brings us to the course Stupid Simple SEO, which aims to break down SEO, bringing down the barriers so it can be attainable for all.
Let’s dive into our review.
Stupid Simple SEO Review: What is it and is it Worth it?
Stupid Simple SEO is an online course created by Mike Pearson to teach you all about SEO. This course is for people who are looking to increase their website traffic. Whether you’re a blogger, an e-commerce store owner, or a person who simply helps businesses with traffic growth, this course is for you.
The goal of this course is to improve your knowledge about SEO and give you the strategy to finally rank your website and start driving Google traffic to your site. Like one of Pearson’s students recently said, you no longer have to feel chained to social media.
Students have also said that this is the last course you will ever need about SEO; if you are wondering if this is true, this review will answer this question at the end.
Who is Mike Pearson?
Mike is a husband and father who was determined to make some side hustle income for his family. Today, he generates six figures with his niche sites as he teaches Stupid Simple SEO students the power of SEO. You can learn his Scale My SEO signature method in his course!
He has a free Facebook group that you can join and talk about SEO and niche tips.
He also has some awesome SEO guides on his website, but through those, you will only receive a tiny portion of what you need for SEO. The gold is in the course itself.
What’s Included in Stupid Simple SEO?
This course is eight modules long.
It is navigation-friendly – not drip-fed – and is self-paced. This means that you can jump around the course. So if you would like to visit your favorite parts first, go back and reread sections you need to spend more time on, etc., that is entirely feasible.

This is a short module that includes a few videos that talk about the blog analytics dashboard, including how to use and set it up.
Phase 1: Build
Phase 1 shows you how to build SEO for your website. You will learn things like:

- It takes a lot of work to implement
Stupid Simple SEO is a solid course that will increase your understanding of all things SEO. It’s well-organized, easy to navigate, and lets you jump around as much as you want. It’s not drip-fed, which is great, and the course has a ton of material covering the topic.
The mostly video-based content of this course illustrates how tools work, showcases Google, includes conversations with the creator, and connects with the course.
How Much Does Stupid Simple SEO Cost?
When I purchased Stupid Simple SEO it cost $297 for a one-time payment or the option to pay $117 per month for three consecutive months.
The Stupid Simple SEO price is a bargain, in my opinion. If the price is too steep for you, you can take advantage of payment plans to make it more affordable for you.
Thousands of individuals have taken Stupid Simple SEO. If you visit the site, you will find testimonials from many happy students.
If you want to boost your rankings and get found on Google, this course will give you the formula to achieve that.
Who is Stupid Simple SEO For?
Stupid Simple SEO is for anyone who runs a website. This includes:
- Ecommerce stores
- Digital agencies
- And more!
SEO is incredibly important for people who run websites, like bloggers and online store owners. It can single-handedly drive the success of your business.
In order for websites to run, they need traffic.
Bloggers need readers to consume their content, because the money they make – from various sources like affiliate marketing, ads and sponsorships – is based on this traffic.
What controls the amount of money they make is their traffic.
Have you ever read blogger income reports?
The biggest bloggers may not reveal their earnings, but many large bloggers do, like Michelle from Making Sense of Cents.
Her last published income report crossed $100,000 in a month.
Ever wonder what her traffic looks like?
In that month, she received more than 400,000 page views!
That’s huge. Can you imagine hundreds of thousands of people visiting your website? If you had those numbers, of course you would make money fast.
To actually get to those traffic numbers, you would need SEO.
The same holds true for online stores. They need website visitors to land on their sites to make purchases and make them money. Website traffic is the fuel that drives their income, and that traffic can come from SEO.
SEO is a stable form of traffic. It’s organic, and it can be very long-lasting.
This is the kind of traffic you want, and if your goal is to increase your blog traffic and enjoy the benefits that it brings (brand awareness, increased revenue, etc.) you need to have strong SEO.
Here is how you get started learning SEO with the Stupid Simple SEO course.
Getting Started with Stupid Simple SEO

You can go through all 40-plus lessons at your own pace. One of the things I love the most about access to this course is the student group that is included when you buy.
