What is Mistplay?

Mistplay app on PlaystoreMistplay was founded in 2015 and started as a game testing platform. In 2017, it shifted to become the first loyalty platform for mobile gamers.

With over one million members in its community, Mistplay offers a range of mobile games that enables players to earn rewards while discovering new digital worlds in the palm of their hands.

As a company that focuses on serving both mobile gamers and gaming studios, they are dedicated to providing the best for both audiences. Mistplay empowers game studios to reach and engage the best mobile players for their games around the world.

Basically, Mistplay is the matchmaker in finding gamers and matching them with new game studios. Mistplay receives payment from these game studios for being featured on the app. These payments are used to then pay its members for their time with the games.

How Mistplay Works

With the Mistplay app, members discover new games, play and collect units, then redeem their units for rewards.

How Mistplay works steps

After creating your profile, Mistplay recommends games for you to play based on the information you shared. Find games in your library and start playing. The more you play, the more you can earn.

200 Welcome BonusNew members receive a welcome bonus of 200 units just for signing up.

The units you earn from playing can later be redeemed for rewards. Those rewards include free gift cards for Amazon, Visa, Google Play, and more.

Once you’ve tried a game from your library and completed your mission within the app, there will be some steps to follow in order for your account to be credited with the units.

Some games will take two minutes to complete or five minutes. The time will vary per game. Typically, you will be prompted with some questions about your experience immediately after you play.

Do You Really Earn Money with Mistplay?

There are many reasons to question if Mistplay legit and safe. It’s hard to know anymore with so many scams out there. With this Mistplay review, you can see that you really do earn with the app.

To date, Mistplay has awarded users over $10 million. You can earn by playing games and by entering contests every week. Contests include cash giveaways or other prizes. The last contest of the month offers an epic grand prize.

Mistplay paid 10 million to date

With over 10 million downloads and a 4 out of 5 star rating, Mistplay is a great way to earn extra cash. Based on real Mistplay app reviews, users share how much they enjoy earning while playing. Mistplay is easy to use, convenient, and quickly pays users.

Ways to Earn with Mistplay

Mistplay BadgesIn addition to offering real money earning games and contests, Mistplay provides more ways for members to earn. If you utilize all four of the app’s methods, you’ll answer the commonly asked question, “Is Mistplay worth it?” with some large cash redemptions.

Mistplay offers users two other ways to earn. You can unlock achievement badges for every mission you complete. For every badge you earn, you get more units to spend on rewards.

There is also a way to earn for referring the app to friends and family through the Mistplay referral program. For every referral that signs up through your unique code and begins playing, you receive 50 units. Once you hit 200 units in referrals, you then get an additional 100 bonus units.

How to Redeem Units with Mistplay

Mistplay uses a third-party company to pay users. You can select the reward you want and request to have your units traded in for that reward. For every 1,500 units you have in your account, you can redeem for a specific $5 gift card. Some reward amounts will vary based on popularity and availability.

Mistplay Features

With the many Mistplay features offered, it’s no wonder why the app was recognized as a Company to Watch by Deloitte in 2019. This Mistplay review incorporates how users benefit from Mistplay features and so do the game studios.

Get Paid for Something You Already Do

Honestly, I love to zone out with a mobile game here and there after a long day of being a mom. Therefore, I figured I could get paid for already doing something that I love to do. Whether it is from the comfort of my couch, bed, or laying on the floor while sleep training my infant, mobile games are an easy part of my day.

Younger Players Allowed

It’s no secret that teens like to play games on their phones. Per the terms and conditions of the Mistplay app, teens as young as 13 years old are eligible for an account on this platform. That means they can also start earning money at this age.

Since my son is younger than 13, I let him play some games through my account some days. He enjoys passing the time, and we rake in units without even thinking about it.

No Advertisements

It turns me off to an app when I see all the advertisements pop up randomly every few minutes. Granted, many of them are only 30 seconds long or less. In mom time, 30 seconds can really make a difference. I was glad to see that there are no ads on this app.

No Credit Card Information Needed

You are always free to play and free to earn on Mistplay. They never ask you for your credit card information. This really went a long way for me when I was wondering, “Is Mistplay safe?” Any app asking me for credit card information makes me wary and oftentimes deters me from proceeding.

Friendly Competition

You can invite your friends and family to play with you or meet new players on the Mistplay app. The social experience is designed for friendly connections on the platform. Join in some friendly competition to see who can rank higher on the leaderboard. Discover new games together!

Mistplay Cons

It wouldn’t be an honest Mistplay review if I didn’t address the cons as well. While there are many positive Mistplay features, there are a few cons as well.

Only For Android Users

The world seems to be divided into two types of people; the Android users and the Apple users. Unfortunately for Apple users, Mistplay is not an option. The Mistplay app is only available on the Google Play Store, which means it is only available for Android users.

There is no word on if Mistplay will eventually become available for Apple users in the future. But you can find plenty of apps like Mistplay for iPhone users here.

Low Earnings

If you’re hoping to get rich quick, Mistplay is not going to be for you. While you can earn money during your play time, the earnings can be low.

Depending on the reward you want to redeem your units for, the earnings will vary. If you choose to redeem for a $0.50 Amazon gift card, one unit is equivalent to about an eighth of a penny.

However, if you want to redeem for a gift card worth $10, then one unit equals about a third of a penny. For other gift cards, the compensation range can be different.

Earning Limits

Some games implement a daily limit that you can play and earn. For example, one game that I enjoy playing only awards units for up to two hours of gameplay per day. Additionally, it only pays for the first 20 levels played. Each gaming studio sets its own limits and exclusions.

Location Dependent

Depending on your location, some of the games will vary. You may not be able to play certain games if they aren’t available in your country. Although, there are still plenty of choices when it comes to the games that are available. Game choices are also updated frequently so you won’t be stuck with the same selection.

5 Mistplay Hacks to Earn The Most Money

I can’t spend full days playing games to earn some extra cash so I’ve had to learn how to maximize my earnings in the least amount of time using these free money hacks. They are all legal, so don’t worry about getting your account shut down for doing these things.

Mistplay Hack 1: Play New Games

You’ll typically earn the most units when playing the lower levels of a brand new game. That’s why I’ve made it a habit to install new games and ditch the old games that I didn’t love. As you level up, it gets harder to earn units.

Mistplay Hack 2: Get Your 5 Minutes In Per Day

Try to keep your playing streaks going. Even if some days are too busy to play, try to get to your 5 minute gameplay time to avoid losing any bonuses. Just grab your phone during lunch break or before bed and play for a few minutes.

Mistplay Hack 3: Hold On To Your Units

Don’t cash out your earnings as soon as you reach the $.50 threshold. Instead, build your units as high as possible before requesting a gift card. The longer you wait, the better value you’ll get for your units.

For example, it takes 400 units to get a $.50 Amazon gift card, making the units worth .00125 cents each. If you wait to cash out 1,800 units for a $5 gift card, your units are instead worth .00278 cents each which is more than twice the value of the units used to cash out at $.50.

Mistplay Hack 4: Follow Mistplay’s Social Media Accounts

Recently I was asked, “How do I get a secret Mistcode?” Truthfully, I had never heard of “Mistcodes” before so I did some research to learn more! It turns out that Mistplay shares secret Mistcodes on its social media accounts from time to time. If you’re on Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, make sure to follow Mistplay and keep an eye out for Mistcodes! You can redeem them for free Units.

Mistplay Hack 5: Get Your Kids Involved

Kids love to play games. If you don’t have enough time during the day to hop on Mistplay and earn units, let your kids choose a new game and play. My 5-year-old son loves to spend some time playing games, and he doesn’t feel like it’s a chore or a job.

It’s Worth It for Us

It really is up to you to answer if Mistplay is worth it. For my family, Mistplay offers some fun and value for us to get paid to play.

While Mistplay won’t earn you enough to cover a house payment, if you enjoy playing games in your free time, it’s a no-brainer to earn a little something extra as well. Gift cards can go a long way in saving you money on various family needs.

If you save up enough of your earned units, you can really get a nice cash out. Don’t forget the other opportunities to earn as well through unlocking badges, referring friends and family, and entering weekly contests.

Mistplay is a great app and has been rewarding on many levels for us. Try it out after reading this Mistplay review.
