Cash App Flip: Is It Real or A Scam? (How to Stay Safe!)

Save for later!

One of my favorite sites, Swagbucks, offers tons of ways to earn real cash online. If you're not already a member, give it a shot! Here are five things you can do to make easy money on the site:

  • Play games (up to $110 each)
  • Test apps (up to $150 each)
  • Submit receipts (easy cash)
  • Shop at your favorite stores (up to 10% back)
  • Answer surveys and polls (quick cash in minutes!)

There are many Cash App flips out there–most of which are scams. Flipping money is at the top of the list when it comes to scams. But I want to show you how to flip money on Cash App while avoiding those scams.

It is crucial to know the difference between a real Cash App money flip versus a scammer promising to flip your money with Cash App. One of the worst things that can happen to anyone is to be scammed out of their hard-earned money. Scammers are out there; stay on defense and keep your money safe by avoiding them.

The most important thing to understand is that you must never send money through Cash App to strangers and expect to get money in return. It doesn’t work that way. Cash App is meant to complete person-to-person transfers among your friends, family, and legitimate customers and clients. Essentially, only transfer money to people you know and trust. If you stick to the people that you know, you are off to a good start.

What Is a Cash App Flip and Are They Real?

Yes, a Cash App money flip is real (but not those social media flipping scams). In its most basic form, it’s when you use the app to turn any amount of money into more money. The higher the potential increase, the higher the risk of losing part or all of your investment.

I want to be fully transparent here and acknowledge that the term “Cash App flip” is typically associated with Cash App scams. However, the term “flipping money” has been around for a very long time. Flipping money refers to taking money and turning it into more money–and there are many legal ways to flip money.

For example, if you are buying second-hand products and selling them for a profit, that is called flea market flipping. There is nothing illegal about this and you can even use Cash App to facilitate the flip.

Cash App has many features that other money apps don’t have, which makes it a top app to have to control all aspects of your finances from one platform. It’s easy to set up Cash App on your phone in just a few minutes.

5 Legit Flips Using Apps Like Cash App

The biggest question most money flippers have is whether or not they can flip money without having to hustle and grind on the daily.

We all want to know how to make our money work for–instead of against–us. The five Cash App money flips listed here will take time, discretion, and will work differently from those social media scams you have probably seen.

1. Flip $5 Into $10 on Cash App

Cash App offers a free sign-up bonus of $5 when you first sign up. The Cash App flip requires you to first enter a debit card and send at least $5 to another app user.

Once you send the $5 to them, you get the $5 cash bonus. Work with a friend on this and ask them to send your $5 back. That way you can actually turn your $5 into $10.

This is a limited, one-time bonus that you can get for entering a referral code, and it must be activated within 14 days of signing up for a new account.

2. Flip $5 Into $30 Over and Over

Cash App offers a referral bonus of $30 when a friend or family member signs up for an account using your unique code. Each referral must connect a debit card and use the app to send at least $5 within 14 days to activate the bonus.

You can easily take $5, send it to a friend or family member, and have them send that same $5 back to you to activate bonuses all around. Each time someone new uses your code, you get $30 and they get $5.

Use the Cash App referral code bonus process of sending $5 to new accounts associated with family and friends over and over. There currently is no limit to how many invitations you can send. You can potentially flip that same $5 continuously until you’re tired of making money (which is unlikely to happen).

The Cash App Money Flip Scams to Avoid

Person flipping Cash App money into more money

These are the scams you will potentially see swirling around out there. Be mindful and steer clear of them.

Turning $100 to $800 on Cash App

A scam, also known as a “money circle,” promises users an $800 return on their initial $100 investment. If you join the group and pay with Cash App, the scammers promise you’ll be up next in line to collect your $800 within a few hours.

Basically, you will never see your money again and the scammer just collected a nice payday from participating individuals. The message usually comes to a social media account or text message explaining the rules of the game and then asks you if you want to play.

While there are real people behind these scams, many of them don’t understand the issue with the process. If you can get a handful of people to participate, yes, some people will end up with extra money. But like any other pyramid scheme, the bottom of the structure crumbles, and many people end up losing money. The Cash App $100 to $800 scheme is not a legit Cash App money flip to join.

Cash App Money Flip Software

There are no legitimate Cash App money flip software programs out there. The scammers want you to download their “software” which gives them access to hack your account. This potentially leads to them withdrawing your funds. Do not fall for any request to download Cash App money flip software, no matter how legitimate the advertisement appears to be.

Self-Proclaimed Bitcoin Flippers

There are scammers out there waiting to jump on the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin on your behalf. It is recommended to never allow a stranger to handle your investments, Bitcoin included. Instead, invest in Bitcoin for yourself.

Don’t fall for this Cash App flip hack scam. Essentially, the scammer will take your money instead of investing it on your behalf.

Requests to Accept Payment via Check

There are all sorts of check payment scams going around. Beware of the ones telling you they will send you a big check if you send some dollar amount through Cash App to them or to a “college” $Cashtag.

Instead of you ending up with the increase for doing the scammer a “favor,” the check they send you bounces. By then, they are long gone with your Cash App payment.

This is not a deal you want to have any part of and will result in them getting away with your money. It is very difficult to catch these criminals.
